“ILABAS ‘NYO!” This is the booming call sounded for the return of two students, during a press conference held at the Teresa covered court, beside the Polytechnic University of the Philippines (PUP)-Sta. Mesa campus, today.

The ALLIANCE FOR NATIONALISM AND DEMOCRACY (ANAD) Partylist spearheaded the press conference to “push the alarm buttons” and to awaken the community against the unrelenting deception of helpless and innocent youthful students who were made to believe that the “exposure” with the rural folks was a noble task for the good and welfare of Filipinos.

ANAD Rep. Jun Alcover, strongly condemns the continued and unabated lies and deception perpetrated by the Maoist communists CPP-NPA-NDF where the sectoral front and pseudo partylist organizations, under Bagong Alyansang Makabayan (BAYAN) and the Underground Mass Organization, all under  the command and control of the National United Front Commission of the CPP, is responsible in the disappearance of Albert Estrada, 19 yrs old, 1st year BS Journalism student; and Regina Obiso, 18 years old, 1st year BS Broadcast Communications student, both in the College of Communications of PUP. Albert and Regina were reportedly members of the PUP Kabataang Makabayan – Charlie del Rosario Chapter. Sources disclosed that Albert and Regina are both members of Anakbayan, a legal front organization of the NDF; and Makata, a cultural organization also of the NDF, all at PUP.

Mrs. Emily Estrada, mother of Albert; and Mrs. Bennic Obiso, mother of Regina, were present during the press conference. They disclosed that they have not seen their respective children since April 4 and April 5, 2009 respectively. In fact, during several verifications they made with several leaders of KM-Charlie del Rosario Chapter, they were met with a seemingly mocking response coupled with sarcastic facial expressions by those they have talked to.

“Albert and Regina’s disappearance only speaks of the devious and criminal minds set into motion by the leaders of the Maoist communist-terrorist organizations in the country,” said Alcover who challenged Bayan Chair Renato Reyes and Satur Ocampo to make good of their open profession in the protection of children and minors and their commitment against the use of child-warriors among the ranks of the NPA.

Pointing to Albert and Regina, as those that should be given immediate response by the self-acclaimed protectors of human rights and children’s welfare, “the two students are the present day victims of Maoist communist deceit and lies that must be given immediate attention by Karapatan, Bayan, Bayan Muna, Gabriela, and Kabataan. Desaparecidos and FIND must be involved in calling the NPA to release and return Albert and Regina,” Alcover said.

ANAD challenged these groups to shed all their prejudices and biases to save Albert and Regina, and others who were victims of Maoist communist deception.

“Their open declaration on this issue is most wanting. Nagbingi-bingian ang mga ito kung ang pinagusapan ay ang eksploytasyon at manipulasyon ng mga kabataan at menor de edad upang sumama sa hanay ng mga NPA!” said Alcover as he challenged Raymond Palatino of the Kabataan Partylist to come out with their stand on the use of children and minors by the Maoist communist NPAs. “Palatino must come out with a statement denouncing and condemning the Maoist communist CPP-NPA-NDF for the latter’s continued use and utter disregard of the international covenants on the protection of children and minors,” Alcover said.

ANAD is deeply saddened by the disappearance of Albert and Regina whose youthful idealism were exploited and abused by the Maoist communists. “I know that it would be hard for the two to leave the Godless and inhuman Maoist organization, if they do it by their own. But if the NPA leadership, through Satur Ocampo whom many believe is now the commander of the New Peoples Army, will act on this with expediency, then that would be better,” Alcover explained.
