THE ALLIANCE FOR NATIONALISM AND DEMOCRACY (ANAD) Partylist, in strongest terms, condemn the gruesome murder of at least 22 civilians, including the wife of Buluan town Vice Mayor Ishmael Mangudadatu and some 13 media personalities in the vicinity of Masalay, Maguindanao, last Monday morning.

“The massacre in Maguindanao shows the violence and utter disregard for human life pervading in that province,” said ANAD Rep. Jun Alcover as he expressed concern that the highly volatile situation could easily escalate thus adversely affecting the lives of its people.

“Despicable and grossly condemnable is the loss of life of some 13 media personalities whose only purpose being with victims’ group was to ensure media coverage of Vice Mayor Mangudadatu’s wife and her entourage filing of her husband’s Certificate of Candidacy for governor of Maguindanao,” said Rep. Alcover.

“A no-nonsense, fair, and impartial investigation on the incident must be conducted to ferret out the truth and punish those responsible for this dastardly and despicable crime against humanity,” Rep. Alcover added.

Meanwhile, ANAD calls on the government and its security forces to step-up their security preparedness and measures to ensure peaceful and credible elections in 2010. “What happened in Maguindanao may be a tip of the iceberg, in terms of election related violence, leading to the 2010 elections,” said Alcover.

Rep. Alcover made this statement in the wake of reports on the proliferation of high powered firearms and armed groups in Mindanao and other parts of the country.

“It is high time for government to make serious moves to dismantle armed groups, and seize their firearms,” said Alcover as he pointed to the unstable and eerie peace and order condition in Mindanao brought about by several factions and groups of heavily armed political personalities.

“All armed groups, including the MILF must be disarmed,” said Rep. Alcover as he challenged government to now flex its muscle, strength, and be serious to exert its authority for peace to reign all over the country.

“We only have one armed force in the country, the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police. In no certain terms and at all times must this principle be upheld. Anyone who challenges this authority must be dealt with in accordance with the rule of law,” Rep. Alcover stressed.

Rep. Alcover supports the move to declare the area, or any adjoining area necessary, under state of emergency. “If this is the only way to restore order among our people, then we must have to go for it,” he clarified.

RA 9745 hailed; Maoist’s urged to uphold the rule of law

November 20, 2009

THE ALLIANCE FOR NATIONALISM AND DEMOCRACY (ANAD) Partylist is in full support of Republic Act 9745, otherwise known as the Anti-Torture Act of 2009 signed into law by President Gloria Macapagal-Arroyo last Nov. 10. ANAD strongly believes that the enactment of RA 9745 shows government’s commitment towards the protection of the rights of Filipinos, especially against harassments, intimidation, and more importantly her peoples’ right to life and liberty.

“ANAD hopes that the implementation and compliance of the provisions of RA 9745 must not only bear upon government but on all Filipinos, especially the Maoist terrorist Communist Party of the Philippines-New Peoples Army (CPP-NPA), whose penchant for violence and disrespect towards the rights of peoples are insurmountable and remarkable, until today,” said Rey Salas, ANAD secretary general and national spokesman.

On the issue of extra-judicial killings in the country, “What is reported and given publicity by Maoist communist lapdogs in media represents only a miniscule part compared to the total transgressions and human rights abuses committed by the Maoist terrorists that never saw the pages of national newspapers’ or the airlanes of radio and television media,” Salas explained.

Salas challenged Karapatan, Task Force Detainees-Philippines, SELDA, and other Maoist terrorist sectoral front and pseudo partylist organizations to be circumspect, honest, sincere, and transparent in the documentation and reporting of alleged human rights violation cases. “Black propaganda is their main weapon while pursuing vilification and hate campaign against government. If they are sincere in upholding and protecting our peoples’ rights, RA 9745 should change their ways. RA 9745 should cause their transformation towards transparency, honesty, and true commitment towards the protection of our peoples’ rights,” Salas said.

While ANAD calls for a full and sincere compliance of the law by government agencies and functionaries, the same is demanded from other sectors of the Filipino community particularly the Maoist terrorists whose more than 40-years of insurgency has caused the enforced disappearances and deaths of tens of thousands of Filipinos.

“No one, even if one is a member of a self-proclaimed revolutionary organization, is exempted or excluded from liability if he violates the law. More so, if one is a terrorist,” Salas said.

“The goals and intentions of the law could not be achieved if stakeholders in the community, not only government, refuse to do their share in upholding the rule of law, especially RA 9745,” Salas stressed.

ANAD hits Maoist terrorists’ lapdogs

Reactions by Maoist terrorist sectoral front and pseudo partylist organizations, on US Secretary of State Hillary Clinton’s recent visit to the country, are expected.

“Filipinos cannot expect something positive coming out from Maoist terrorist sectoral front organizations and personalities because that is the propaganda line of the Maoist Terrorist Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP), and they cannot do otherwise but to tow that line or else suffer the same fate of many, e.g. Popoy Lagman and Romulo Kintanar, and others, whose life were snapped by a bullet mainly because of their refusal to tow the party’s line,” said Rey Salas, national spokesman of the Alliance for Nationalism and Democracy.

The Alliance of Concerned Teachers (ACT), National Union of Students of the Philippines (NUSP), League of Filipino Students, Anakbayan, among others are like barking dogs that makes the loudest of noises to express the malicious propaganda line of the Maoist terrorist CPP.

“The assistance and donations made by the US government are such that recipients of these aids are not supposed to make demands from prospective donors,” Salas pointed out.

In the nearly 41 years of Maoist terrorist insurgency, in the country, traversing several Philippine and American administrations, “These Maoist sectoral front organizations and personalities had been expressing consistent anti-government and anti-US views and opinions yet they seek American support to dramatize their deceptive human rights campaign and pseudo-advocacy,” Salas said.

ANAD describe ACT’s Antonio Tinio, LFS’ Terry Ridon, NUSP’s Alvin Peters, TDC’s Benjo Basas, and Anakbayan’s Ken Ramos as Maoist terrorists’ lapdogs whose vicious and demented propaganda and lies continue to pester Filipino sensibilities.

“Freedom and peace loving Filipinos must take a stand to forge a strong and united voice and action against these malicious and destructive Maoist terrorist manipulation,” Salas said as he urged Filipinos to resist all devious machinations perpetrated by proponents of a Godless, inhuman, and violent Maoist terrorist ideology.

ANAD warns against Maoist terrorists’ 2010 game plan

November 18, 2009

INTENSIFIED extortion, intimidation, and harassment activities by the Maoist terrorist CPP-NPA in the run-up towards the 2010 national elections.

This is what the ALLIANCE FOR NATIONALISM AND DEMOCRACY (ANAD) Partylist foresees to happen as the leadership of Maoist pseudo partylist groups are so much engrossed to juxtaposition some of their personalities to ensure victory.

“Satur Ocampo’s recent statement that he is seeking a seat in the Senate serves a strong warning for all peace and freedom loving  Filipinos to be on guard against Maoist terrorist heightened attacks and deceptions,” said Rey Salas, ANAD Secretary General and national spokesman.

In the past months or so, ANAD has been receiving reports, from its sources inside the central committee of the Maoist terrorist organization, disclosing a decision by the violent CPP to actively involve in the 2010 national elections to gain a senatorial seat through tactical alliances with opposition political parties. This is viewed as an attempt to further boost the attainment of their goal to take over the reins and control of government, Salas explained.

“Liza Maza’s senatorial bid, together with Ocampo, did not surprise us but saying that they have a sure base or captive votes of about 3 million is wishful thinking,” said Salas as he expressed serious doubts on the allegation even as he pointed to the reported inclusion of Akbayan’s Riza Hontiveros-Baraquel in the Liberal Party’s senatorial slate.

“We cannot dismiss and deny the fact that Akbayan is a consistent advocate of the so-called Euro communism that is otherwise known as the Smiling Communists,” Salas explained. While in some instances and issues, they may differ with the Maoist and Russian communists, they converge and join forces if issues against government and the United States are in focus, Salas stressed.

The parliamentary struggle that they now are into is indicative of their waning capability for armed confrontation. “Their shift to parliamentary struggle is basically to showcase their alleged strength in the legal arena. However, their attempts to forge tactical alliances with mainstream political parties and politicians is proof enough that they still don’t have the capabilities to make even a dent in the country’s political and real democratic landscape,” said Salas.

“These developments manifests their vaunted and vicious deceptions and lies peddled to confuse our people. Therefore, freedom loving Filipinos must take any and all of their statements with a grain of salt considering the Maoist terrorist’s penchant to intimidate our people in the countryside, peddle lies, and their deceitfully cunning character,” Salas stressed.

ANAD chides CPP-NPA-NDF’s support for Escudero’s presidential bid

“ALL ALONG, we were expecting this to happen.” This is ANAD Partylist Rep. Alcover’s reaction to a published report (pp18, PDI, 11/02/09) pointing to the polarization of support by Maoist communist sectoral front organizations and pseudo partylist on the presidential aspirations of Sen. Chiz Escudero.

As early as a few months back, the ALLIANCE FOR NATIONALISM AND DEMOCRACY (ANAD) Partylist has been receiving information about the desire of the Maoist terrorist CPP-NPA-NDF’s to launch and fully support the presidential bid of the young Escudero.

ANAD strongly believes that the recent development where Escudero bolted the Nationalist Peoples Coalition is no surprise. “It is a result of a plan of action orchestrated by the Central Committee of the Maoist terrorist Communist Party of the Philippines (CPP) with its burning desire to take over the reins of the country’s governance,” Alcover pointed out.

In fact, several top Maoist communist leaders, particularly from its sectoral front and pseudo partylist groups had been talking to presidential bets of the opposition political parties to include in their respective senatorial slate at least one Makabayan senatorial bet. This in exchange for the terrorist’s so-called yet highly suspect 2.4 million captive votes that they assured could be swayed to support the aspiration of the opposition political party’s presidential bet.

Makabayan, the Maoist terrorist political party that making its initial participation during the 2010 elections.

In addition, sources from within the Maoist communist organization disclosed that in case the presidential aspirant wins but the communist senatorial bet looses, the Maoist terrorists group is asking for at least 5 cabinet seats to be allocated to them.

Sen. Escudero did not “defy the so-called gravity of politics and unveiled his unorthodox political philosophy in regard to the functions of political parties” because every inch of phasing was in accordance to the well-planned and designs of the Maoist demagogues, said Rep. Alcover.

“Significant is the polarization of these Maoist communist sectoral front and pseudo partylist organizations as this openly confirms Escudero’s political tryst skillfully laid out by the Maoist communist group,” Alcover added.

“True to Amando Doronilla’s column entitled – Escudero without a political party and the myth of Icarus (pp.1, PDI 11/02/09), this is indeed reminiscent of Icarus and his father’s (Daedelus) desire to revolutionize conditions. But Escudero’s action did not only do that. It definitely reinvented political reality,” Alcover pointed out.

“It is only my fervent hope that Escudero will not suffer the same fate as that of Icarus,” Alcover added.
